Get Mosquito Protection At Home - 3 Simple Steps

Remember the 3Ds

Mark the American Mosquito Control Association’s (AMCA) National Mosquito Control Awareness Week and fight the bite in your backyard with a few simple steps including the AMCA’s recommended three D’s:

1. DRAIN – Empty out water containers at least once a week.

2. DRESS – Wear long sleeves, long pants and light colored, loose fitting clothing.

3. DEFEND – Apply an approved repellent such as DEET, Picaridin or Oil of Lemon Eucalyptus.

Mosquito repellents provide excellent personal protection, however they don’t actually kill mosquitoes. Fortunately Mega-Catch™ traps do!

Referred to as the nuclear option of mosquito control by the Wall Street Journal, Mega-Catch™ ULTRA Mosquito Traps are the ultimate weapon against mosquitoes and other biting insects. So if you live in Florida, and more importantly Brevard County, and you visit any of the Brevard County Mosquito Control Department’s information booths during ‘mosquito week’ you will go in the draw to win one of our next generation Pro 900 ULTRA Mosquito Traps.

Special displays will be located outside Lowes and Home Depot department stores throughout the county with staff on hand to provide expert advice on how to mosquito proof your home this summer.
